The National Report Card Results aren't looking to good.

In 2022, the average score for Virginia students in 4th grade math was 236, which was an 11-point drop from 2019. According to the Virginia Department of Education, students in grades 3–8 have experienced significant and persistent learning loss in math and reading. (https://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard)

We can TAKE ACTION at HOME to improve the type of student my child will be.  We can do some simple things at home, such as:   
#1.  Listening to an audio-book in the car or at home daily for 20 minutes and then discuss it as a family.   #2 Having a "no electronic" time while we discuss some DETAILS of what happened at school today.    #3 Email the teachers every 2 weeks and let them know you appreciate them and how is your child doing at school.

These are simple and don't take much effort.  Let's talk to our children to improve their communication skills and academic experience.
